Welcome to Shanghai Community International School (SCIS), home to more than 1800 expatriate students who learn and develop in a rigorous and caring multicultural environment. Established in 1996 as one of Shanghai’s first international schools, SCIS provides a seamless international program for students aged 2-18, with campuses spread across Shanghai, including Puxi and Pudong. As a fully authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum World School, SCIS offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP) aimed at fostering rigorous critical thinking and global citizenship.
SCIS is accredited through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and is a member of the East Asia Regional Conference of Overseas Schools (EARCOS) and the Association of China and Mongolia International Schools (ACAMIS). With an average class size of 20 and a maximum class size of 22, the school ensures personalized attention for each student.
